CARO Analytical Services Ltd. presented at The Fourth Annual SCIENCE ADVISORY BOARD FOR CONTAMINATED SITES IN BRITISH COLUMBIA (SABCS) Conference and Workshop on Contaminated Sites September 24, 25, 2014 in Vancouver, British Columbia and Remediation Technologies Symposium October 2014 in Banff, Alberta. Patrick Novak, Vice President, presented on Analytical Advancements: Acid Herbicides Case Study. View the full abstract here.
CARO has been at the forefront of the design and implementation of new analytical techniques for many years, and has recently become the first environmental analytical laboratory in Western Canada to acquire a state of the art liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) – also known more colloquially as a “triple quad”. With this new piece of equipment, we have been able to identify new compounds and transition a number of our analysis off of older equipment. The application of these new analytical techniques has modernized the methods of analysis, yielding higher quality data for our clients. One particular method, with which we have seen notable success, applies to the analysis of Acid Herbicides. Delving into the analytical advancements of the Acid Herbicide method is an illustrative case study showing the potential for improvements which could yield significant benefits for our laboratory, our clients, the industry, and the environment
Please contact Patrick or the CARO team (contact us) anytime if you would like to arrange to discuss Acid Herbicides or your other analytical needs.
