Emily Kirkham has joined CARO as our Technical Manager and leader of CARO’s new Cannabis Testing Division. Emily brings with her over 18 years of analytical laboratory experience and is another world class scientist added to CARO’s team executing on our vision of Charismatic Scientists Driven to Make the World Safer and Healthier.
Emily will be supporting CARO’s environmental and food testing lines of business to be industry leading, as well as, heading up CARO’s new Health Canada licensed Cannabis Testing Division. This is an important new public health testing segment aimed at ensuring that legalized cannabis products are safe from pathogens, pesticides, solvents and other potentially harmful substances.
After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from McGill University, Emily managed method development and analysis at both commercial and government laboratories. From there, she continued her career as a Field Service Engineer for K’Prime Technologies, an Agilent Technologies technical service provider. In 2014, Emily founded her own quality control and laboratory development business, and tailored her efforts towards the growing North America cannabis testing industry.
